Lazy Bum!!!

This post has been long overdue. For the following reasons:
1.  Most of the times I have all the time but nothing to say
2. Occassionally, ok ok... very rarely  I have something interesting to say but no bloody time. The company I work for treats me like a slave. The bad part is, they also pay me like a slave. 
3. Sometimes I have both time and interesting stuff to crap about - but no internet access. Now 
you would say that why cant I just write somewhere by hand or on MS Word and then later paste it
onto the page. But if you think I was that dedicated - why would the title of this blog be - what it is. Think .. Think....
4. Sometimes, I have all of the above but other things take priority like partying, sleeping, lazying around. 
5. Sometimes, I start writing about something but the trail of thought leads me elsewhere, then elsewhere 
and finally it ends up nowhere. As a result, I end up getting confused and scrap the whole damn thing. 
(No wonder the title of the blog is clearly confused - coz Hello.... I am....)
 
Finally, when I actually get around to writing - this is the crap is dish out.

Two questions to ponder about-
1. Dont you think, that the list of excuses should be much longer so that I never trouble you with such bull
2. I wrote a blog full of excuses - explaining why I did not write for so long. Why did'nt I just make an excuse. Ironical ... huh

As I am typing this, I am telling myself - what a cliched start to my blog. I thought I was going to turn over a new page, make a new beginning, let my self go ..blah blah blah -- by blogging. irony - i am cribbing about a cliched beginning by using more cliches.

anyways.. Lets get over this cliche' biziness and get to the point.

I started reading blogs abt a year back and got inspired ... nah... motivated (dont ask me the difference b/w the two) to start mine too. After a year of dabbling.. doodling..latkaoing... thinking (all of the above induced mostly by laziness to get off the couch and start blogging) - finally found myself on www.blogger.com. Was registering for a new account - and they posed a killer question - what will be your display name and url address. After all the thinking I did, I missed thinking about this. Again, dont ask me - what I really thought about?

Coming back to the name - why did I pick this? The answer is actually quite simple - I have realised over the last 3-4 years that I am CLEARLY CONFUSED in life. Professionally - want to do too many things at the same time. As a result, end up doing all of them not so well. Personally, want to make everyone around me happy - as a result, no one is happy. Bottomline, there is no FOCUS in life.

Philip Kotler, Marketing Profs and my barber (lets call him Naiwala) believe in - STP - stands for - Segmentation, Targetting and Positioning. All three call for focus. Per Naiwala - "apna saloooooon sabke liye nahin hai - middle class type logon ke liye hai only" (My salon is not for everyone - only for middle class). Thats STP in 14 words.

After this - I ask myself - that if naiwala - who is a Phd in Mindless Chatter - politely put - Polite Conversation - has such clarity - why not me? Remember the VIP Ad - where a guy jumps from the first floor wearing a bath robe and only an VIP Jock underneath to save the damsel in distress from a mugger. The punchline goes - "whats he got that I aint got". Maybe its the fault of jockey's that I wear. Abt time - I shifted to something desi.

Anyways - whatever the reason is for the lack of clarity and focus - will find it and eliminate it.
